Music is made up of different sounds of various pitches – high, low, and in between. We differentiate the pitch with "clefs".
Using "Middle C" on the piano keyboard as a reference the diagrams below, you can see that the Treble Clef contains notes that are higher in pitch than Middle C, whereas the notes written in the Bass Clef are lower in tone.

Know Your Notes
You probably know how to play notes on a piano, and recognise how they sound. Sheet music is another way of recording these sounds as well as the rhythms that make up a song. With sheet music, you can play the same tune on any instrument!
Match the position of the note on the keyboard to the note on the staff.
Know How Fast or Slow To Go
Sheet music is a great way of learning a new song because it not only tells you what note to play, it tells you how fast or slow to go so you get your rhythm exactly right.
There are many time signatures and values, but these are the basics you’ll need to know first.
