Know Your Clefs


Music is made up of different sounds of various pitches – high, low, and in between. We differentiate the pitch with "clefs".
Using "Middle C" on the piano keyboard as a reference the diagrams below, you can see that the Treble Clef contains notes that are higher in pitch than Middle C, whereas the notes written in the Bass Clef are lower in tone.

Each clef is shown written with "Middle C" on the staff (the 5 lines that help us differentiate the notes)

You probably know how to play notes on a piano, and recognise how they sound. Sheet music is another way of recording these sounds as well as the rhythms that make up a song. With sheet music, you can play the same tune on any instrument!


Match the position of the note on the keyboard to the note on the staff.

How to play the keyboard
The keyboardist is the band's secret weapon. With an electronic keyboard, you can mimic every instrument and play multiple tracks at once!
Know your notes
When you're familiar with how each note is placed on the keyboard, you'll be able to play your favourite tunes without worrying that you're hitting the wrong note.
There are seven basic "natural" notes, CDEFGAB (white keys) and five semitones (black keys). The C Major scale is created if you play just the white keys in ascending order. The pattern repeats and gets higher or lower in pitch, depending on the position of the keys.
How do you differentiate between sharps (♯) and flats (♭)?
Easy. Just remember, when you see ♯ next to a note, you play one semitone (key) to your right. If a ♭ is written next to the note, you play one semitone left to the note.

Polyphony:Play multiple notes at the same time by just pressing a key
Drum machine: Imitates the sound of drums and other percussion loops
Auto harmony: Automatically adds secondary notes to form a chord when a key is pressed
Wheel and knobs: Adds digital effects to music such as pitch-bending, vibrato, tremulo, reverb and delay

This is my favourite japanese artist. Her name is Yui. She very a famaous artist at japan. She have sooo many albums like Life, Cherry, Goodbye Days, Again, Rolling Star, Its All To Much, Laugh Away, My Generation and the newest is Gloria. I love all of her song.
